Stress from work is already difficult to deal with. Recently, adding the stress of the effects of the pandemic makes it even more difficult. Stress affects people differently, and there simply is no standard procedure on how to deal with it.
However, these simple things may help in some ways to ease off stress.
Communicate With Your Co-Workers
Whenever there is a problem, communication is always key. Communicating with your co-workers about the load of work and job stress can be very helpful. After all, you are all experiencing the same situation and have a better understanding of what you’re going through.
Stick to a Healthy, Regular Sleep Schedule
Having enough sleep could prove to be an effective avenue to de-stress. This is also a good way to remain healthy. Taking frequent naps can clear your mind from the stress of work and re-charge.
Find Time to Do Things You Enjoy
Once you get off work, make sure you still find the time to do the activities that you enjoy doing, even before the pandemic struck. Of course, if this includes a lot of outdoor activities, then you can look for a new hobby to enjoy such as reading, learning an instrument, or simply binge-watching your favorite TV shows.
A Change in Setting
As the vaccines are beginning to roll-out, once the situation eases, a change in your surroundings can help you relieve some of the pent-up stress from work brought by the pandemic. For a change, you can go to a public library to finish work, a cafe, or try looking for a more secure environment, like rent a co-working space in Hong Kong just to switch things around. This can re-charge your social skills from being socially distant for too long.
